Wayne County Speedway
April 18 Practice Session

Nick Smith
Mike Lonas
Bruce Jennings

Jason Rohr

This is what we all have been waiting for, well almost anyway but after a long crappy winter I'll take a practice session to shoveling snow any day. With all the new colors and straight sheet metal the real thing must be right around the corner, LETS' GO RACING !
Nick Smith is making the change from front wheel drive to the more powerful Modified division this year showing great promise. A lot of good people are behind this operation.
Next photo down is the familiar 5L of Mike Lonas, one of the winningest drivers around now behind the wheel of a Bob Pierce Modified. A couple of really good sponsors also on the side of his car.
The number 68 Modified of Bruce Jennings makes the tow from Sunbury Ohio. Occasionally during major events this car sheds that number in favor of a *1 and is driven by Chub Frank. Awesome !
Wayne County can be proud of their Pure Stock division and Jason Rohr is driving a gem. JR's Camaro is the former "Miss Daisy" and I look forward to seeing this machine back in winners circle real soon.

J. R. Gentry

Mark Gardiner

Chet Alexander

Rick Bond

Blaine Aber

Wayne County Speedway is home to only the best Late Models in the region, want proof well here it is.
The trademark # 14 of J. R. Gentry is all new in 2006 with a one off GDI Chassis and a Reedy Racing Engine built with all the best. New sponsors include Gavanarg Motorsports, Captured Memories Photography, and Buckeye Container.
Another family operation out of Massillon Ohio is the 12m machine driven by Mark Gardiner. The chassis may be a second hand Rocket and the motor built in a back room don't be fooled, these guys know what they are doing and prove it by running up front every week.
Next up is the #16 of Chet Alexander and Mark Nussbaum, talk about home town racers these two grew up at Wayne County Speedway. The car is a Rocket powered by a Floyd Emory Racing Engine and sponsorship comes from Massillon Transmission, Nussbaum Automotive, and Alexander Racing Bodies.
Check it out, the 007 of Rick Bond hard on the gas in a new GRT Chassis. Rick is a fan favorite wherever he goes and we are glad he calls Wayne County home. A big thank you goes to Rod Eddleblute and Ken Adams for your support of Rick Bond Racing in 2006
Blaine Aber has all 4 wheels firmly planted on the ground coming off turn 2. The #81 car was custom built equipped with leaf springs from the shop of CJ Rayburn and has always been a front running machine. Aber is a true sportsman and will always be there when in need.
