JASON FLORY RACES TO HIS FIRST WIN OF THE 2010 SEASON AT WCS.

Jason Flory had the look of the tiger in his eyes in the drivers meeting and when it was announced that the winner was to
present his mount in the victory circle for an interview,he actually nodded his head and gave a big wink of his left eye.For the
second time in two weeks,Flory had blistered the clock for the fastest qualifier award in the Frosty Twins Late Models. After
finishing second to Ryan Markham in the dash,Flory was lined up on the outside of the front row beside Markham with last weeks
winner Doug Drown and Jeremy Canada filling up the second row.Flory blasted to the lead at the drop of the green and dominated
the pack through turns one and two with Markham and Drown on his tail.Flory stayed out front while Drown was pressuring Markham
for the runner up spot. Those two swapped second place a couple of times while Flory was outfront and got into lap traffic after
only six laps were recorded.Flory worked that to his advantage and was able to open up a sizeable lead over Markham who had shook
off Drown's challenge.Weston Hutchinson started in the eighth starting spot and was being badgered by Clint Coffman from the
fifth spot.Coffman was able to dispose of Drown on lap seventeen and take the third spot.Flory won the event by 2.094 seconds
over Markham with Coffman taking third,Hutchinson was fourth and Drown hung on for fifth.Chet Alexander took the heat win.Flory
stated in the winners circle that he was going to go after the points title this year and win the $2500.00 points money plus all
the other financial awards the Brad Malcuit had put up for grabs.Flory was the Late Model champion at WCS in 2006 and thanked Joe
McIlvain,Medina Mountain Motors along with Racin Mason for their support again this year.He was joined in the winner circle by
his wife Kristin who had driven to a ninth place finish in the same event.
Coming all the way from New York for the second Saturday in a row was Richard Michael Jr and he made it worth the five hour
drive worth the effort as he once again dominated the field in the Tri State Modifieds action. He was the runner up in qualifying
to Darrick Hubbard and had won the dash which put him on the pole with Mark Gardiner on the outside of the front row.As the green
was displayed,Gardiner took the early lead as he went to the top of the multi grooved racing surface with Michael in pursuit.Matt
Holcolm and Larry Moran hooked up in a great side by side battle for many laps.Mark Dickson was also on the move forward from his
ninth place start.Dickson moved into the top five on lap nine.On the same lap,Michael was able to move around Gardiner for the
lead and two circuits later,Gardiner left the track with mechanical problems and Michael had smooth sailing the rest of the
way.Following Michael to the finish was Holcolm,Mark Dickson,Moran and coming from tenth to a fifth place finish was Travis
Dickson.Dan Davies took the heat win.Michael complimented the speedway for a near perfect racing surface along with the great
crew behind his success.
Brandon Gardner made it two in a row in the Pure Stock A Main as he and five time track champion Troy Anderson put on show
for the fans as they hooked up in a great side by side battle for the entire feature event.Early in the event Larry Baldwin held
down a top three run until he left the track in the latter stages.Anderson held onto second with Rich Frame taking third,Ben Mott
gathered in fourth and rookie driver Tyler Nicely held on to a fifth place finish in his first event.Anderson was the heat winner.
Gardner praised his father and crew member for putting his Maibach Ford sponsored number 27 in the winners circle.
Lester Berry always has a smile on his face, however this time it was a wider and prouder smile as he recorded his first ever
A Main win.He had came off of a very strong heat win earlier and started on the pole with last weeks winner Chase Alexander lined
up beside him. Those two staayed very close for more than half of the race until Berry stretched his lead by a sizeable
amount.Alexander finished second with John Raber in third,Doug Hensel taking fourth and Kenny Long fifth.Anthony Collins was
having a very solid night until lap three of the feature when the right front wheel actually tore loose and finished his night.
Action will continue on Saturday night April 24th with all four divisions chasing the points titles.Stay up to speed with
