At first glance there doesn't look like much left of Hilltop Speedway but old memories.
But once you scratch the surface a natural shelf of clay remains and the possibilities
are clear. Just my opinion but if a nostalgic look remains with hillside tiered seating that
provides a great view of the action, the upper pit entrance road and fans access to view
their favorite drivers at work, and a wonderful picnic area overlooking the grounds. The
wooded location off a quiet road could provide pleasant camping between race nights
and the seclusion to be party central for a weekend event.

Eldora its not, one of those is enough. Hilltop already provides an atmosphere not found
in modern venues and I hope that can be preserved. Race fans will demand some modern
ammenities but improvements will only come with time and support and the buzz about Hilltop
reopening has drawn great interest. It is also too soon to say what divisions will be racing
and what night but this is for certain, things are getting interesting already!
