Oh yeah, this is what its all about. I like all kinds of racing, you know 410's, Modifieds, and Street Stocks are cool but in my book nothing comes close to a full blown dirt Late Model and the ALMS racing series makes for a great combination. It takes a high level of talent to follow this series as they tour Ohios finest racing facilities that include Eldora, Fremont, Oakshade and Attica. I find it just incredible how hard these guys will run for a $2,000 purse. Check out a few Late Models on hand at Attica last Friday night,,,

 

Halcomb Racing picked up Jegs Performance as a major sponsor and I can tell you first hand this is a very deserving team and hopefully this will propel Aaron Scott into the big leagues of dirt racing, one very talented racer worth the price of admission alone. Next is another talented racer I was very surprised to see at Attica, Brady Smith is behind the wheel of the AMSOIL # 2. Brady was the WISSOTA Rookie of the Year in 2001 and has quickly become a force to be reckoned with around the midwest and now stretching his boundaries. Watch for Brady at Eldora, Muskingum County, and Challenger Raceways in 2006. Below Steve Casebolt showing off new colors. Casebolt clinched the runner up spot in the feature followed by Aaron Scott and Brady Smith.

Lets hear it for the home team,,, Doug Drown made the feature event and was an early contender but fell off due to mechanical problems. Dave Hornikel debuted an all new Swartz Chassis / Reedy Racing Engines powered dirt car, very nice ! Jeremy Canada is a young man on a mission gaining all the experience he can and quickly climbing the ladder. Jeremy missed the feature but still turned in an impressive performance. Ryan Markham started deep in his heat race and just missed the transfer by one spot then led his consy when the car broke. Below is a photo of Rusty Schlenks # 91 machine. At only 20 years old Rusty has numerous feature wins and always a threat to win at Oakshade ( his home track) and anywhere the team shows.
