This is it, theres nothing like attending the first race of the season and after the first of many walks thru the pits it was revealed absolutely no shortage of horsepower as all the ALMS regulars are on hand. With guys like Casey Noonan, Rusty Schlenck, Jerry Bowersock, Shawn Negangard, Rick DeLong, and Hillard Miller to name just a few, your pretty much guaranteed a good show. Adding to the experience my home track was very well represented and that means a lot to a race fan like me. Its easy to pick a favorite between Ryan Markham, Wayne Maffett Jr. Jeremy Canada, Rick Bond, Randy Scott, Dave Hornikel, Justin Chance, and Doug Drown. |

Bill Schlieper of Pro Power Race Engines made a first ever visit to Attica Raceway and had a few of his powerplants in competition this weekend, including the winning entry. Bill and John Schlieper drove from their Wisconsin base to attend a Lucas Race at Hagerstown, Attica was a very enjoyable stop for them.

I just dont get to see 410 Sprints often enough, a few of my favorites - # 8 Bobby Clark, Brock Mayes number 11b who won his first ever 410 feature on this night, the # 11N driven by Ed Neumeister and the 5r of Byron Reed , this is what Attica race fans come to see. |
